Launch of fully subsidised counselling services for Hong Kong children newly migrated to the UK

We are pleased to announce the launch of fully subsidised counselling services for Hong Kong children newly migrated to the UK. This service is funded by the Children and Young People’s Resettlement Fund.

Migrants aged under 18 with BN(O) visa will be eligible to a maximum of 8 counselling sessions upon recommendation of our professional team following a triage assessment of their mental health conditions. This service will end in March 2025.

For details, please visit Government-funded Advisory and Counselling Services for BNO Visa holding families in ENGLAND.

For those not eligible to the services, we will continue to provide fully or partly funded counselling services upon their passing of our asset mean test as well as triage assessment. For details, please visit Hong Kong Well UK Subsidised Counseling Service.

The Fund will also sponsor us in organising various in-person or online activities to facilitate families from Hong Kong to improve their emotional health. Details will soon be announced.

The UK government has set up the £2.5 million fund to help children and young people from Hong Kong, Ukraine, Afghanistan in England access mental health support, counselling and therapy, English learning as well as employment and schooling advices. Hong Kong Well Uk is the only Hongkongers’ group selected by the Fund to provide the service.
